ZIP 35i Phone Factory Reset

This article describes the process for resetting a Zultys ZIP 35i phone to factory defaults and re-provisioning the phone from the web UI.

Reset to factory defaults

1. You will first need to find the IP address of the phone. Press the 'Menu' key > choose 'Status' > IP address.

2. In a web browser navigate to that IP address to get to the phone web UI

3. When prompted for username and password you will use 'admin' for both (all lower case).

4. Click on the 'Settings' tab.

5. Click on 'Upgrade' on the left.

6. Click on 'Reset To Factory' and click 'OK' or 'Yes' when prompted to confirm you want to perform this action.

If the network has DHCP option 66 configured your phone will automatically reprovision after it has been reset to factory defaults.

If there is no DHCP option 66 configured on the network, or it is not working properly proceed to the next step to manually enter the provisioning URL.

 

Update phone with provisioning URL

1. You will first need to find the IP address of the phone. Press the 'Menu' key > choose 'Status' > IP address.

2. In a web browser navigate to that IP address to get to the phone web UI

3. When prompted for username and password you will use 'admin' for both (all lower case).

4. Click on the 'Settings' tab.

5. Click 'Auto Provision' on the left.

6. Paste in your provisioning URL in the 'Server URL' field.

7. Click 'Confirm' at the bottom to save settings.

8. Click 'Autoprovision Now'.

Within a few minutes your phone will be automatically configured and ready for use.
